ALPHABET has been recognised for its Intelligent Mobility Services at the 2017 International Auto Finance Network Awards held in London.
As well as being highly commended in the category of ‘best product or service for fleet finance’, the company scooped the award for its joined-up approach to meeting customers’ travel needs.
Daniel St Claire, CarSharing & eMobility manager, collected the awards on behalf of Alphabet and commented afterwards: “Mobility seems to be the word on everybody’s lips at the moment within the industry but at Alphabet it’s something that we’ve been focused on since 2010.
“As a result, we have a broad range of real-world solutions active in the market, such as AlphaCity, AlphaElectric and AlphaRent to help customers meet their specific requirements for flexible, sustainable and efficient business mobility on demand.
“For us mobility isn’t just the future, it’s right now. Alphabet customers drove over a million ‘shared miles’ in AlphaCity cars last year, we delivered over 10% of the UK’s OLEV grant-eligible electric or hybrid vehicles, plus our dedicated fleet for extended rental is larger and more utilised than it’s ever been.”
Professor Colin Tourick, co-founder of the International Auto Finance Network and host of the awards, commented: “This award is designed to recognise the company that has introduced the best intelligent mobility innovation in the last two years.
“Mobility solutions are solutions that offer alternatives to or complement the traditional company car. These reflect the desire by many companies to ensure that every journey is carried out in the most cost‐effective and environmentally friendly way.
“Alphabet received this award for the quality and breadth of advanced mobility solutions they provide.
“The panel of judges highlighted that these services save customers money and time when budgets are fragmented across travel, fleet, sales, operations and HR. Alphabet evaluates a customer’s total mobility needs then addresses these with a combination of innovative, technologically-advanced and integrated products including AlphaCity carsharing, AlphaGuide app, AlphaRent extended rental and their Teleservices initiative.”
