Jardine Motors Group new dealerships chain

  • Buying Colliers Group adds Jaguar, Land Rover, Honda and Mazda dealerships plus parts hub
  • Jardine now has five Land Rover and six Jaguar dealerships
  • Jardine is also building multi-million-pound Land Rover site in Wolverhampton
  • Expansion plans are creating over 70 new jobs at all levels in all departments

JARDINE Motors Group has bought Colliers Group to strengthen its presence in the Midlands – and the Colliers buy takes Jardine to 11 Jaguar and Land Rover dealerships.

The acquisition includes the ownership of Colliers Group’s Land Rover, Honda and Mazda dealerships located in Erdington as well as its Jaguar Tamworth site.

The purchase, driven by Jaguar Land Rover’s drive for a common ownership model, complements Jardine Motors Group’s passion for expansion and will see the group’s portfolio increase to five Land Rover businesses with a further six Jaguar operations in the UK.

Jardine Motors Group’s Honda presence increases to four sites across the UK and it also welcomes its first Mazda franchise into its business.

Neil Williamson, CEO of Jardine Motors Group, said: “This is a great acquisition as we combine Colliers Group’s family business values with our cutting edge retail experience.  This new business will help drive forward our ambitious growth plans for 2016. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues from Colliers Group into the Jardine family.”

The purchase of Colliers Group continues the significant investment recently made by Jardine Motors Group in the Midlands. Not only is the expansion as Jardine Motors Group has bought Colliers, but work is already starting on a brand new multi-million pound development for Land Rover in Wolverhampton.

£15bn investment by Jaguar Land Rover

As a result, the group is on a major recruitment drive and in the Midlands alone is creating more than 70 new jobs across all levels and departments.

Neil Williamson adds: “The automotive industry is really thriving in the Midlands, especially with the investment being made by Jaguar Land Rover and its new manufacturing site, so we’re keen to strengthen our presence in the region and bring the ‘Jardine Difference’ to more customers and staff.”

In addition to acquiring the Land Rover, Jaguar, Honda and Mazda franchises from Colliers, the deal also includes the purchase of its central parts hub.
