That’s right, we want to get personal.

WE want to find out a little bit more about you all to share with the rest of the Federation members in this feature. It’s a bit of fun. And here’s Paul Bulloch of Concept Vehicle Leasing telling all.

Name

Paul Bulloch

Home town

Dorking, Surrey

Company

Concept Vehicle Leasing

Car you’re driving at the moment

BMW i3

Football or rugby team you support

Erm… I’m not crazy about either – although I grew up supporting Liverpool FC as my Dad is a huge fan!

When you’re not running your business, what do you do to relax?

We’re lucky enough to be surrounded by the Surrey Hills, and there’s nothing quite like a country stroll – particularly at this time of year!  Otherwise – good food – good wine and travel are always top of my list.

What’s your favourite restaurant or style of food?

Tricky one this – I do love my food.  Italian or a good curry – but I reckon Italian probably tops the tree.  Do love a good pizza!

Where’s your favourite place to holiday?

Love Italy – spent some time in Umbria a couple of years back and the landscape is simply stunning!  Also – Spain – my folks live out there, so we always enjoy spending time there.

If you could unwind one decision or moment in your life, what would it be?

If I look back, I’m sure there will be plenty of things I could / should have done differently – but then my life could be different now, and I’m not sure I would want that – it’s always better to look forward than back!

The best funder conference after party?

The launch of Alphabet Partner sticks in my mind as a real highlight – “medieval theme” complete with fancy dress – fantastic fun and great company.

FCA compliance has been good for your business because…

It’s added more structure to our business and processes – making sure we plan, set goals, and then action and review.  Plus – it’s spurred us on to concentrate more on training and development for staff which can only be a good thing.

Emoji – use them or despise them?

Use them – where appropriate.  They can add some fun to otherwise cold text!

Who is your business hero?

Richard Branson has always been a bit of an inspiration for me – great life story and I’ve always had a keen interest in aviation too.

Coffee or tea?

Tea

Does your business support local charities? Which ones?

We’ve supported a few groups over the years – most recently, myself and our Sales Director, John Henares, took part in the “Meridian Pull Challenge” – rowing from Westminster to Greenwich in aid of the Ahoy Centre.

Greatest sporting moment of the year so far

Watching my youngest son, Adam (10), score for our local team, Brockham Badgers!
