WHAT a challenge! The independent judges are scrutinising shortlisted entries for the Leasing Broker Federation Awards 2017 and what a task they’ve got with the clock ticking for the big presentation night less than three weeks away and the broker awards high standards.
The Leasing Broker Awards dinner takes place on November 23 at the RSA House off London’s Strand, when the awards follow the Leasing Broker Conference earlier in the day at the same venue.
There are nine categories covering ​the breadth of the brokerage offering ​with specific awards for market specialisms and customer service.
Chair of the judges Jo Elms says she’s impressed by the ​quality of the nearly 30 shortlisted entries ​ (listed below) being assessed by the judges.
Jo judged the awards in 2013, the inaugural year, when they were known as the Small Fleet Leasing Awards and she was head of LeasePlan’s Network division before becoming LeasePlan commercial director. Now she’s running her own automotive and leasing consultancy ESE Consulting.
She said: “This is becoming an increasingly important set of awards, recognising the excellence of brokers and the role they play in an expanding sector, and I’m really impressed at how the levels of professionalism have soared in such a short time.

And that’s for vans as well as cars.
Then there are two further awards:
- Spirit of leasing broker award – nominated by the funder judges
- Broker of the Year – chosen by the judges from the category winners.
