ALPHABET Partner has proved a real success in its first year with a select network of top brokers handling more than £100 million of car leasing business.

Gavin Davies of Alphabet – head of indirect sales – explains the success story.

“With Alphabet Partner our mantra was to be different to the rest of the market and what had been done before. We wanted to create something which stood out from the competition.

“We created this exclusive ‘club’ of around 40 of the very best and most established brokers, out of over 1,800 brokers in the UK. We also made the commitment that this would be a true partnership approach, which was why it was so important to identify the right Partners initially.

“Our Partners have already and, will continue in the future, to play a massively important role in how we shape Alphabet Partner and develop our market-leading IT platform, icon.

Gavin continues: “Copying other approaches in the broker market simply wouldn’t work for us – Alphabet is known as a progressive, forward thinking business that puts people and customers first.

“So we recruited some of the industry’s most passionate and talented people, as well as identified the shining stars within our existing business to be ‘fast tracked’ to work on Alphabet Partner. I know I’m biased but people outside of Alphabet tell me that we are regarded as the strongest team in the industry and I’m incredibly proud of that fact. There is a real entrepreneurial, ‘can do’ spirit within the team.

“Honest and open lines of communication with our Partners has created real trust and belief within the network – as well as with the OEMs across the board that we have significant relationships with.”
