WELCOME Eddie Shaw – general manager of Go Green Leasing and newest member of the Leasing Broker Federation.
Go Green was established from 2007 after 25 years as an Avis franchise, initially with daily rental with the leasing arm Go Green Leasing added in 2008.
And it’s doing good trade, with Eddie’s Crewe-based leasing team of eight in Cheshire putting through around 1,200 units in the current year.
It’s premium quality too, as Eddie explains: “Our split is around 90% cars – premium brands including Mercedes, BMW, Audi and Land Rover – and the rest vans.”
Eddie says he is seeing big changes in the market with the growth of personal contract hire, now accounting for around 70% of deals, as business contract hire demand reduces.

Go Green Leasing: Strong environmental ethos
Naturally Go Green went green long ago, with a strong environmental ethos bringing community involvement as well as promoting the low CO2 tax benefits to their car and van clients.
“We commit one per cent of turnover into environmental education, which counts towards our CO2 offset too.
“Local schools are encouraged to put forward environmental projects and the winner gets cash to fund the project – it was worth around £7,000 to the winning entry last time.”
Eddie enjoys some winning ways and he’s looking forward to Federation events – not necessarily the golf, more the social and networking aspects.
