RESEARCH by Manchester broker Nationwide Vehicle Contracts on its customer habits shows that the 6pm to 10pm slot is the sweet spot for browsing car leasing deals.

And over 60% are browsing Nationwide’s latest lease deals on a mobile device.

“At Nationwide we have made significant investment in systems and providing data so that customers can complete their research, acquire their own quotes, and even input a finance application on line prior to speaking with one of our consultants,” commented Keith Hawes, non-executive director of Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.

“Our data tells us that people are spending most of their time online between 6pm and 10pm when they can browse freely in an unhassled environment. There is also no needto speak to an advisor before sending us their order or enquiry.

“We also know that over 60% of our prospects are using mobile devices when using our site, and this is growing – our site is compatible with all mobile devices and this investment has clearly reaped great benefits.”

Keith also added that the mean age and income of customers had reduced slightly, indicating that younger buyers were taking advantage of PCH.

“Interestingly whilst it is clear that PCH is rapidly increasing in popularity, the mix between PCH and business contract hire, for us, has remained consistent,” Keith added.
