BROKER UK Carline has made a significant step to greening its own fleet of cars – by taking delivery of 10 new Toyota C-HR Hybrids.

Funded on contract hire, the new C-HR hybrids will form 30% of the company’s own fleet.

Jonathan Nolan, general manager of UK Carline, explained: “Vehicles are a necessity for UK Carline as well as the organisations we supply, but we are committed to minimising our own carbon footprint and helping our clients achieve their own eco-targets too.

“Our customers appreciate that we are environmentally aware – we’ve been running a popular carbon offset scheme since 2009 – and as a supplier we’re also committed to their corporate social responsibilities too.

“We work very closely with Toyota and are pleased to have taken delivery of their new C-HR. Not only is it an excellent new model but running C-HR Hybrids is another step for us to reduce our fleet emissions.”

The cars delivered to UK Carline are Toyota C-HR 1.8 Hybrid Dynamic CVT models that are replacing a mix of diesel cars.

Jonathan adds: “With CO2 emissions of just 87g/km not only are the emissions and running costs low, but our employees also benefit from lower benefit-in-kind taxation too so it’s a win-win situation for everyone. The C-HR is a fantastic new model and the team are very pleased with them.”

Steve Allenson, Toyota’s national contract hire, leasing and rRental manager, said: “UK Carline is one of our key broker partners and we are delighted that they have chosen the all new Toyota C-HR for their company car fleet.

“With striking cutting edge design coupled with the benefits of Toyota’s class leading Hybrid technology, it proves that you can obey both your heart and your head when choosing your new car.”

Nolan said that UK Carline has seen a significant increase in the number of electric and hybrid vehicles it had supplied and expected this trend to continue throughout 2017. The addition of the new Toyota hybrids was further reflection of this growing trend.
