ATTENDEES at the first Leasing Broker Federation Conference heard from Scott Gairns of Sophus3 talking about why the finance deal is increasingly more important than the car and the value of digital intelligence.

Sophus3 already works with the majority of OEMs to track customer engagement on their website towards finance deals and test drivers. This information is then aggregated into market intelligence and shared back to all OEMs.

In conjunction with the Leasing Broker Federation, Sophus3 wants to extend the tracking facility to Federation members to build up a better picture of how customers interact with leasing broker websites.

“Following the conference presentation, we received some LinkedIn requests asking for more info from brokers who were at the event,” commented Scott Gairns, managing director of Sophus3.

“If we get enough interest we can then organize a round table to discuss the scope of the benchmark and kick it off. For a robust and valid perspective, it’s important to have more five or more participants.”

Leasing Broker Federation’s Ralph Morton added: “If enough leasing brokers are interested I believe it would provide valuable insight into the buying habits of leasing customers.”
