CONGRATULATIONS to Alex Andrews of Planet Leasing and Matt Dawson from funder Arval, who won the second Europcar Leasing Broker Federation Golf Tournament.
Also supported by Hyundai, who had a Hyundai Ioniq on display, the golf tournament at Woburn’s championship course was blessed with better weather (most of the time) than the rain that drenched players last year.
Held on the 18-hole Duke’s Course, 14 teams competed for the Europcar trophy.
Other trophy winners included Rob Whalley from associate Federation partner APD for the Nearest the Pin award and Gary MacDonald from funding partner Alphabet for Longest Drive.
Clive Forsythe, corporate sales director of Europcar, who presented the prizes, said:
“I’d like to thank you all for supporting the event today for what has been a great day’s golf.
“Europcar is a well represented brand at the top end of the FN50, but not lower down the league and not with leasing brokers. I wish to ensure that we continue to support leasing brokers, and to that end we will be launching new products this quarter that will support your sector.”
Planet Leasing’s Alex added: “I was absolutely delighted to have been selected by my directors Gary Rose and Darren Nash to represent Planet Leasing and partner with Matthew Dawson of Arval at this prestigious event.
“The course was prepared to a championship standard and the weather conditions were very good for most of the afternoon allowing me to play to my potential. I look forward to defending our title at next year’s event”
Both Gavin Davies and Graham Conway from Alphabet joined the prizegiving at the end of the event.”
“It’s a real shame I couldn’t play again this year, but both myself and Graham wanted to show support for the event and come and meet the brokers here. Next year, I’m blocking out the diary!”
