BLUEPOPPY Vehicle Solutions is spreading its sporting ties and has netted another high-profile partnership as Bluepoppy drives into first class cricket as official car sponsor for Gloucestershire County Cricket Club.

Under a three-year deal Bluepoppy is providing three Toyota RAV4s and a Qashqai for the club, one of the country’s 18 first class cricket sides, whose main ground is near Bluepoppy’s Bristol base.

The deal brings access to corporate facilities  and promotion for the company not only on the club cars but around the ground and on the electronic replay display.

Bluepoppy  MD Andrew Starr said: “We are proud to support such a great team and management and are absolutely delighted to be appointed official car sponsor for GCCC and supply vehicles to some of the top talent at the club to help keep them mobile and support the breathtaking work they do on the field.

“Being a local business, the entire Bluepoppy team really gets behind the club and we have developed a strong working partnership with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club which we hope will continue in the future.”

He added: “I’m a massive sports fan and Bristol has a lot going for it – we have two great footballing sides, both of which have seen recent success, in addition the rugby team has been promoted to the Premiership, and so seeing the success of Gloucestershire County Cricket Club on and off the field is really exciting for the sport and the city.”

Through the Bristol  Sports umbrella Bluepoppy already sponsors Bristol City Football Club and Bristol City Women’s FC, Bristol Rugby and Bristol Sports basketball.

And the sporting ties raising the company’s profile is paying dividends in the field of business.

Andrew said: “With access to major funders we are well on our way to treble our fleet over last year to 500 by year-end and 1,000 in 2017,  and it’s great to put something into the community.”
