BUTLERS Vehicle Solutions is back in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) as Butlers backs young ace Aiden Moffat and the Laser Tools Racing Team.

The season opens from Brands Hatch on the weekend of 2-3 April and Moffat, currently the youngest ever driver to compete in the BTCC, said: “I’m delighted to have Butlers Vehicle Solutions on board with us at Laser Tools Racing.

“They have previously been involved with Laser themselves on other motorsport sponsorship programmes and have an existing relationship. We take the racing very seriously, but like to ensure that we still have a good time and have the right people around us, and really build a relationship with the people we work with, so I think it is a great fit.”

Team owner Bob Moffat, added: “It’s great to have Butlers Vehicle Solutions Ltd on board with us at Laser Tools Racing for the 2016 BTCC season. They are a close-knit family-run business just like our race team, so they are a perfect fit with what we do.”

Butlers, a family-run contract hire and leasing specialist based in Stoke on Trent, are excited about the partnership with Moffat and Laser Tools Racing in the Mercedes A Class.

Director Tim Butler said: “It’s nice to return to the BTCC with such a promising young talent in Aiden, who has matured impressively during the past two years competing in the BTCC.

“The Mercedes A Class is a strong race package which was shown last season when Aiden achieved a podium result at his home round in Scotland. We can’t wait to see Aiden race with the Butlers Vehicle Solutions Ltd logo on his race car.

“It will also be great to work again with Laser Tools in a sponsorship capacity.”

Tim Butler added:, ‘’Being a televised race series on ITV4, the BTCC is a great way to showcase our business to a nationwide audience. It also enables us also to engage with fans using our social media accounts during the race season.”

Butlers Vehicle Solutions are no strangers to the BTCC having previously sponsored various rookie drivers – Mat Jackson (2007), Tony Gilham (2011), James Nash (2011) and Tom Ingram (2014) – with results including BTCC race victories and an Independent Drivers Championship.
