Wakefield based Cars on Demand has been shortlisted for a prestigious business award recognising how it has transformed its product to become a leader in its market.

The company has been shortlisted in the Transformation category of the 2015 BiYInspired awards, run by Business in Yorkshire.

The category recognises businesses that have demonstrated successful reactions to their markets by transforming their product or service as a result of customer demand.

Cars on Demand has been shortlisted following the company’s decision to franchise its operation in 2011 to capitalise on the growing demand for short term vehicle leasing.

The success of the franchise resulted in a 23% increase in new leasing contracts by the end of 2014/15, with a turnover of £5 million combined with its franchised branches.

As well as its Wakefield Head Office, the business now has two additional depots in Horsham and Silverstone. There are also locations in Exeter, London, Aberdeen and Belfast.

Paul Brown , director and owner of Cars on Demand, said;

“We have worked hard to capitalise on the demand for short term leasing across the UK by franchising the business to ensure that we can service customers right across the country.

“Being shortlisted in these awards is fantastic, as it recognises the hard work and commitment of everyone in the business in ensuring that our franchise operation runs smoothly.”

The winners will be announced at a special awards lunch at The Queens Hotel in Leeds, on Friday 2nd October.
