BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions UK HR Director, Rachel Appleton has been appointed to the board.
In her role as a board member, Appleton will have joint oversight of the business strategy whilst also retaining her long-held position as HR Director.
She has been with the business since 2001 when she joined the newly established technology finance division as Operations Director. Following 12 years in that role, she was appointed HR Director, bringing over 25 years’ experience in the asset finance industry.
During her time in HR, Appleton has been responsible for aligning the UK business with the global HR strategy and has introduced a transformational leadership programme that has developed world-class leaders at the organisation.
She has also implemented a successful Talent Programme that recognises potential future leaders and assigns them tasks to develop business acumen.

“By bringing this knowledge and experience with her to our board, she will be instrumental in delivering our mid-term 2017-2020 strategic plan, and taking us into our next stage of digitisation, market development and growth.”
BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions has also appointed Tim Pulleyn as Head of Broker while Paul Baker has been promoted to Head of Food and Agriculture and Alun Davies to Head of Construction and Logistics.
In his new role, Pulleyn will be responsible for managing BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions’ network of brokers across multiple sectors and brings textensive experience in the finance industry where he most recently held the position of Head of Structured Finance and Asset Management at Metro Bank.
Prior to his time at Metro Bank, he held positions at PEAC Finance, Aldermore Bank, Hitachi Capital UK and HSBC Bank.
