INSIGHT Vehicle Management has bought Austin Vehicle Contracts to help develop its presence in the rapidly growing SME leasing market.
Insight was formed in 2002 and with parent company Fleet Operations manages 14,000 vehicles in the UK.
Lynn Austin stays with the company following the acquisition for an undisclosed sum, and brings a wealth of client contacts and fleet industry experience.
As Insight Vehicle Management buys Austin Vehicle Contracts it gives the former Austin customer base access to two of the largest finance companies in the UK, for better pricing combined with a full suite of vehicle fleet management services.
Lynn is joined by Mark Rodway who will bolster the sales support and administrative function in line with the expected increase in business volume, says Fleet Operations, adding that supporting the acquisition is a significant IT investment that is an integral part of an ambitious three-year plan to grow the business.
