The LBF has had to cancel a number of events where Graham Prince was hoping to introduce himself and to hear everyone’s views about the Federation and what more we can do to support Brokers moving forward.

A FEW weeks ago I joined the Leasing Broker Federation as the Relationship Director, but unfortunately, since joining, circumstances beyond all of our control have meant that I have not been as active as I had hoped.

As a Federation, we have had to cancel a number of events where I was hoping to introduce myself to those I have not met and to hear everyone’s views about the Federation and what more we can do to support Brokers moving forward.

Having said that we have not been idle.

LBF Quarterly Research Programme

More than 70 Federation Members have now completed the Q1 Wave of the Vehicle Leasing Survey which is powered by APD Global Research and was launched in March.

We will be publishing two sets of results to demonstrate the difference between the market picture pre-lock down and since the lock-down.

Q2, Q3 and Q4 Research Waves will follow on – starting in late May.

This research will become the most valuable and current research available within our industry sector – so a hugely valuable resource for LBF members.

Only those Brokers that have taken part will have access to the results and with the Survey due to close at 9pm on Thursday 23rd April anyone who requires their unique log-in details please contact me asap.

As well as the results, those that take part will receive credits in the “system” that can be redeemed against the upcoming Leasing Broker Federation event that will be held at Epsom Racecourse in December

Multi Event Day, Epsom Race Course, Dec 9, 2020

A number of Brokers have already signed up their teams with a small deposit – no attendance invoices will be issued until September – so I encourage you all to sign up here.

New Partners

We have also been reviewing the FCA open letter that was sent to all Brokers on Friday 13th February especially focusing on the 5 key “Drivers for Harm”  that the FCA have identified in our sector.

Unfortunately, that was immediately followed by the Coronavirus outbreak and the logistical problems of trying to run your Brokerage and managing staff and customers whilst remote working.

To this end the Federation has been identifying new Partners to join the Federation that can support Broker Members through this unique and extremely challenging period in time and ensure that they are prepared and ready to return to “normality”, whatever that looks like, in the coming months.

In the coming days and weeks you will see these Partners being introduced to the Broker Membership and I would be delighted to hear any feedback from you as to new Partners we should approach to join along with your experiences with those we have appointed.

I hope to speak to many of you in the coming months and certainly put a face to a name at the Federation’s event in Epsom but in the meantime I wish you all the best and hope you and your staff remain healthy.

Please do email me at [email protected] with any questions or ideas you may have.

Got a spare 30 seconds?

Help us to provide you with better market insight by completing a very short survey. It is anonymous and only takes 30 seconds. You will get free access to the quarterly results.
