Miguel Cabaça replaces Benoit Dilly as the new managing director of Arval.

Dilly, who has been managing director of the UK business since 2013, moves to Paris to take up a new position within Arval’s parent BNP Paribas Group.

Arval has seen a period of sustained organic growth under Dilly, along with the successful integration of the GE Fleet business.

The GE purchase has allowed Arval to grow its market share in the UK and almost double the size of its leased fleet (from around 85,000 vehicles to greater than 160,000 today).

Currently Arval sits fourth in the FN50 behind Lex Autolease (381,833 fleet size); LeasePlan (168,155); and Volkswagen Financial Services (166,480).

Cabaça officially started the role in November and has been working with Dilly to ensure a smooth transition of management leadership.

He arrives to the UK from Arval’s corporate head office in Paris where he was director of private lease for Arval.

Prior to that, Cabaça held a number of management roles within the BNP Paribas Personal Finance business which he joined in 2000.

Arval says that Cabaça’s background within BNP Paribas, and more recently Arval, means that the management transition has been a smooth operation.

“His experience makes him perfectly equipped to provide continuity for Arval employees and customers,” said an Arval statement.
