THIS year’s Arval Broker of the Year title has been awarded to Nationwide Vehicle Contracts.
Presented by head of broker Todd Williams, it was the highlight of the Arval Excellence Awards. Categories included Provider of the Year for maintenance, administration, highest credit rating, increased volume and – new for 2016 – awards for highest renewal percentage and highest extensions percentage.
Announced at the conclusion of the Arval Broker Conference held at the spectacular award-winning ME Hotel in the heart of London’s West End, the Arval Broker of the Year award was based on a combination of these category results as well as overall partnership.
The 2016 performance figures reported at the conference showed the Arval Global fleet now reaching one million, the UK fleet at an all-time high of 157,000 and Arval broker showing a fleet growth of 17% compared to this time last year.
Exclusively for the Arval Premier Brokers, the aim of the day followed the tradition of the previous Arval Broker conferences of providing information of value in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere.

The prestige event concluded in the evening with a private guide tour of the House of Commons, with pre-dinner drinks on the famous Terrace before dining in the Churchill Room.
Keynote speakers included Todd Williams who provided an overview of the 2016 performance of Arval’s global, UK Group, SME and Broker.
He said afterwards: “The event was very well received and excellent feedback given from the UK’s leading brokers who attended and we enter next year fully focused on growing sustainable, long term profitable business with our broker partners.”
Todd re-affirmed Arval’s full commitment to the broker market and their aim to be the funder of choice through competitive pricing and campaigns, new products and value added tools.
Brian Farrell, head of pricing and risk, gave his unique and anticipated overview of the current and future economic climate.
Mike Waters, head of SME marketing, followed with market insight. Paul Marchment and sales manager Sarah Bishop then presented the three value added tools which being launched to support brokers in developing their business with Arval.
These are:
- Dashboard – launched in October, Arval’s unique, user-friendly way to access key metrics on sales activity and view detailed analysis of broker partnerships
- Toolkit – launched in November, the award-winning tool supports brokers with its customers to make effective vehicle-related choices, and will cover topics such as Cash v Car, WLC vehicle cost comparison calculators, fuel cost analysis and much more.
- BrokerZone – A site dedicated to Arval brokers which includes the above tools, along with special offers, campaigns, invoicing FAQs, fair wear & tear, product Information, legislation changes, budget reports, market updates, safety best practices, driver newsletters and more.
- SME Consultancy – Access to Arval consultancy to support Premier Brokers in growing large business opportunities and provide relationship opportunities with potential new customers. Areas that the consultancy team can assist include right method of funding, whole life cost, taxation, alternative technologies and capital allowances.
