THE appointment of a new director signals a BCA pan-European supply chain push with Konrad Zwirner taking the role of European strategic development director.

BCA has announced the appointment of Konrad Zwirner into the new role, reporting to EU COO Remarketing, Jean-Roch Piat, with effect from 1 June 2016.

In this new role, Zwirner will develop a three-year business plan for BCA’s European operations, with a focus on growth and the provision of new services in the mid-term.

Zwirner brings a wealth of experience gained in automotive logistics and joins BCA directly from his current position as a senior director of Hödlmayr International AG, a major pan-European vehicle logistics supplier.

His responsibilities with Hödlmayr included business growth across Europe, and establishing start-up operations in Latin America.

Tim Lampert, CFO, BCA Marketplace plc, said: “We are delighted to welcome Konrad Zwirner to the BCA team. He brings a great deal of experience and market knowledge of the European logistics sector gained with Hödlmayr International.”

He added “Konrad’s appointment is of critical importance to achieving our strategic objectives in Europe and to meet our longer term goals. His experience and drive will be invaluable in both strengthening the core European team and in implementing key initiatives and solutions to meet the needs of our customers.”
