LANCASHIRE based leasing broker KeyFleet is a big believer in apprenticeships. Unlike Lord Suger’s famous ‘You’re fired!’, KeyFleet is saying ‘You’re hired!’

KeyFleet says the National Apprentice Scheme is now responsible for almost a third of its workforce.

Ex-apprentices Jake Yates (22), Louisa Brown (23), Luke Jarrold (24), Callum Horton (19) and Christie Duckworth (19) now hold key roles within the business from sales and relationship management to administration and marketing positions.

Jake, the longest serving (five years), graduated via the NLTG Business Administration course back in 2014 and now is responsible for managing a number of clients and facilitating over 150 vehicle orders per year.

Christie, the most recent recruit, now looks after the businesses design function and supports its marketing activity on and offline after graduating from the QA Marketing course.

“Our fab five represent the future of our company and we are excited to see them develop over the months and years to come.”

Marc McLoughlin, Managing Director of KeyFleet, said:

“We couldn’t be prouder of what our ex-apprentices have achieved and the role they are playing in the business and we are thankful for the support from our scheme providers North Lancs Training Group and QA.

“I’m a big fan of the scheme – it enables small businesses to attract talent on a budget whilst working with apprentices to mould their skills to suit the business needs and their future careers.”
